Our Purpose

At Jonah's House, our mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to families, youth and adults struggling with mental health issues. We believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or financial situation.

Jonah was a child who, in 2017, was hit by a speeding Jeep while riding his bicycle home from school when he was 11 years old. He was badly injured and spent five years in and out of hospital in order to gain full functioning of his legs once again. The accident and injury spared his life, but caused harm to his body and his mental health. Jonah developed PTSD and became too fearful of people, places and fast-moving vehicles to be able to live his life fully. 

Jonah's loving and supportive family gathered around him to find the best mental health care available but struggled to find a therapist who had scheduling availability and who would accept any health insurance coverage. Jonah's middle-class family was unable to pay high cash prices for mental health care on top of the mountain of medical bills his family faced.

Today, Jonah is a thriving young man who has received the psychological and physical therapy needed to gain a full recovery. Jonah's House aims to bring affordable and accessible mental health care to those who need it most. We offer reasonable rates and accept several health insurance plans to choose from. As Jonah's House grows, we will be able to offer sliding scale fees and a staff of therapists with a variety of backgrounds and specialty areas.
